Description
2 Flags
Horse Gendarmes Flag.
Regarding the Papal cavalry standards, we wish to specify the following:
Dragoons: We based our work on the description provided by Crociani in the book *L’Ultimo Esercito Pontificio*.
Light Cavalry: We found no source material; the standard we created is purely hypothetical.
Gendarmes: Again, there are no sources from the period. We used the current standard as a reference, replacing the central coat of arms with that of Pius IX.
